“We have one huge problem, which is the issue of high unemployment and inactive people who are not working. Many governments have tried to find a model that could bring down this unemployment. Some models have been more successful, others less so. There are many factors that can influence this,” the minister of agriculture and rural development, Ľubomír Jahnátek told today’s meeting of the Slovak Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

They also discussed how to increase employment in the agricultural sector. “The future of employment in Slovakia is small family businesses; Slovakia is a farming country, not an industrial country,” said the association’s president Vladimír Sirotka.
